Coronavirus New Cases:73,503 Total Cases: 4,523,351
New Deaths:1,355 Total Deaths:100,679
-Asia mark 100k COVID-19 related deaths. India is one of the most affected country from coronavirus followed by Iran. In India, average new cases mark 50,000 and average new deaths mark 700 daily.
-Iran: Data has been leaked from the government which shows almost 42,000 people died with COVID-19 up to 20 July. A BBC Persian service investigation has found the data from government's own records where the number of people infected is also almost double the official figures: 451,024 as opposed to 278,827.
NORTH AMERICA

-Mexico becomes the third highest C0VID-19 deaths in the world surpassing UK. Total number of deaths in Mexico till now is 47,746.
-USA: 'Space X Crew Dragon' spacecraft-carrying NASA astronauts-splashed down into Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, marking a safe end to an historic two-month mission. US once again become a world leader in human spaceflight.
SOUTH AMERICA
Corona virus New Cases:41,120 Total Cases: 4,285,594
New Deaths:1,510 Total Deaths:148,327
-Brazil is most severely affected by coronavirus marking 94,702 number of COVID-19 deaths. Similarly, Colombia shows spike in coronavirus cases having average 10,000 new cases daily. Total number of deaths in Colombia mark 11,017.
-Brazil: The number of fires in Brazil's Amazon rainforest jumped 28% in July as compared to the previous year.
-Brazil: Brazil's per capita GDP is expected to shrink by 11.3% according to the data from LCA consultancy.
-Peru: President Martin Vizcarra announced the call for general elections to be held on 11 April,2021 where voters elect a new president, 130 members of Congress and 25 regional governors for five year term.
-Chile: Chile's government have approved a bill to allow its citizen to withdraw up to 10% from their retirement funds. This includes a direct payment bonus for the equivalent of about $630 to employed, unemployed, suspended or self-employed middle class people.(it could represent a future retirement crisis if those withdrawing don't pay back their loans by the time they retire.)
-Colombia's National Health Institute announced that the pandemic has gone out of control and is causing carnage.
EUROPE

-Spain shows spike in coronavirus new cases having average 2000 new cases daily.
-Russia: Russia aims to launch mass production of corona virus vaccine next month. It is trialed by Gamaleya Institute in Moscow and expects its official registration to be complete within 10 days.
Gamelaya's vaccine is viral vector vaccine, meaning it employs another virus to carry the DNA encoding the needed immune response into cells.
(Note: Gamaleya's vaccine is based on the adenovirus, a similar technology to the coronavirus vaccine prototype developed by China's Cansino, currently in the advanced stages of clinical trials.)
-Spain: 204,926 tourists arrived in Spain in June. It is 97.7% less than in June,2019.(the state of alarm is ended in June in Spain).
-UK: New COVID-19 tests have been discovered which can detect coronavirus in just 90 minutes.
-UK: Authorities in Greater Manchester, England, have declared a 'major incident' due to increase in coronavirus infection rates in multiple localities.
AFRICA

-South Africa is the hardest hit country by coronavirus experiencing 150+ COVID-19 deaths daily.

OCEANIA

-Australia shows spike in coronavirus cases encountering average 500 new cases daily.
-Australia: Melburnians now endure some of the strictest lockdown, as the Victorian government battles to contain hundreds of new coronavirus infections everyday. The new phase of restriction is expected to trigger an estimated 250,000 jobs losses.
